Yvonne Fleming is our newest member of the POA’s Physical Therapy team. She started her career with Inpatient Rehabilitation, Orthopedics and Aquatic Physical Therapy. She then transitioned into Home Health, working for this amazing community for over 20 years. She has embraced an opportunity to joined Peninsula Orthopedics and is excited to work alongside the best group of experienced Physical Therapy clinicians.
Yvonne graduated with honors from Salisbury State University in Biology with focus Pre-Med/Pre-Physical Therapy in 2000. She obtained her Master of Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland Eastern Shore and became a licensed physical therapist 2003. She decided to further her studies and graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2013 from Shenandoah University.
Her focus is empowering patients within the community by improving their confidence, health and well-being. She has extensive experience with a wide variety of age groups from pediatrics to geriatrics including acute and chronic disorders, balance/vestibular conditions, motor vehicle and work-related injuries, neurological and orthopedic disorders. One of the most fulfilling parts of her job, assisting patients on their journey in restoring movement while resolving their pain and discomfort.
She has been married to Ryan Fleming since 2006, also a Physical Therapist and Director of the POA Physical Therapy office in Berlin, MD. Both blessed with two beautiful kids, boy and girl, and a rambunctious puppy. In her free time, she loves being creative with art, gardening, traveling and embracing every moment with all of her family.
