Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates (POA) is proud to introduce Shalin Patel MD, Fellowship Trained Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon, as the newest addition to POA’s renown orthopaedic spine services, alongside Scott McGovern, MD and Trevor Abbott, PA-C. Dr. Patel brings a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of spinal surgery, further enhancing our commitment to providing exceptional patient care and cutting-edge medical solutions to the Delmarva Peninsula.

Dr. Patel completed his undergraduate degree at Boston College and earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Southern California and then went on to pursue fellowship training in spine surgery at Harvard University. Dr. Patel has since built a distinguished career working at George Washington University Hospital for the last 5 years, earning recognition for his contributions to the advancement of spinal surgical techniques and commitment to ongoing medical education.

With a focus on advanced minimally invasive techniques and a dedication to personalized patient-centered care, Dr. Patel is recognized for his ability to address a wide range of spinal conditions with precision and compassion. His arrival signifies a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to offer comprehensive orthopaedic and spine care to patients suffering from a variety of spinal disorders.
