Bone Wellness Center

Dr. Roe

At POA, our Bone Wellness Center is focused on diagnosing and treating osteoporosis by providing quality care to thousands of at-risk patients every year.

Osteoporosis, or brittle bone disease, currently affects more than ten million Americans over the age of 50. There are multiple risk factors, including sex, height, weight, hereditary factors, smoking and alcohol habits, history of previous fractures, medications and more.

Patients with osteoporosis experience the loss of bone mass and the destruction of bone tissue over time. This often results in the bones weakening and becoming brittle, making them much more susceptible to fracturing and breaking. The bones most at risk for this are the spine, wrists, hips and ankles. There are more than two million osteoporosis-related fractures each year in the United States.

Our Bone Wellness Center is headed by Dr. David Roe and offers our patients comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and a wide variety of treatment options, depending on age, gender and overall health, including:

  • Bone density testing
  • Diet and nutritional guidance
  • Exercise therapy
  • Fracture care and surgical intervention
  • Fosamax treatment
  • Medication management
  • Prevention and education

Patients who would like to schedule an appointment at our Bone Wellness Center should call 1 (877) 749-4154.
